Welcome to You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown

Charlie-posterAll Cast Read Through and confirmation of parts to be held Monday, June 9th – 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the HK Middle School.

Welcome to the cast of YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN, a classic musical theater show with laughs, charm and great tunes!

We have cast THREE sets of principal parts designated as C for children, Y for young adult and A for adult. We have done the same for the whole Peanuts Gang. All three sets of principal and named parts are asked to perform in ALL six shows. We will explain which of the three casted characters will say which lines and sing which songs on June 9 so it is especially important to be there for this.

If cast in the Peanuts Gang, you will have the opportunity to become or create your own character and will be involved in various scenes along with at least three (probably more) large production numbers. Kids cast as Children’s Peanuts Gang will have the option to choose to perform in either weekend 1 (Aug 1,2,3) or weekend 2 (Aug 8,9,10). More to come on this soon.

The basic rehearsal schedule is Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-9 pm. We make every effort to be very efficient with time and will only call an actor if he/she is needed for that rehearsal. However, your schedule should accommodate these days. Parents of young children should chaperone.

All details will always be very clear on our website – your portal to everything you need to know about this production. Please bookmark and check the following site often: www.ArtfulLivingCT.com

The website has a CAST tab you want to check where you’ll find a PDF of the script and songs. Remember, we are doing a creative new thing here to have three groups of characters so we’ll all have to mindful of following the schedule carefully to know who is called when!

Please reserve the whole week of July 28 for Dress Rehearsals. The performance dates are August 1,2,3,8,9,10. (Fri/Sat evenings & Sun matinees) We understand that many people have varied and full schedules and that summer is a time for vacations. However, this is a collaborative effort that requires the dedication and mutual respect of all, especially within the last two weeks of production. While there is no fee to participate in Artful Living’s productions, you are expected to sell a minimum of three advertisements for the program and to sell a minimum of 10 tickets.

Congrats to all. If you’ve been involved before, you know we work hard to include everyone in the show in meaningful ways.

If you know at this time you are unavailable to accept your role, I would appreciate an email or call ASAP. Many people will be counting on everyone doing their share so please do consider your commitment now.
